SXU's Peter Kirstein was elected vice president of American Association of University Professors

榴莲视频下载 (SXU) Department of History Professor Peter N. Kirstein was elected vice president of the American Association of University Professors (AAUP) Illinois chapter at its annual conference at Dominican University. His term is for two years until April 2018.

AAUP has over 1,000 members from community colleges, colleges and universities across the state. Kirstein also chairs its Committee A on Academic Freedom and Tenure. He is the AAUP chief officer in Illinois responsible for protecting and expanding academic freedom, tenure, contingent faculty rights and academic due process.
